MDL developing University based Industrial Consortium
17 January 2014
MDL is actively working with US colleagues to develop an University based industrial Consortium focused on the advancement of multi-physics simulation, virtual testing, and design optimization of electric machines and drives.
The new Consortium will create a framework for training practicing engineers and graduate students, the development of new mathematical algorithms, engineering benchmarks, and industrial case studies, as well as establish a basis for pre-competitive research. Plans are being made for the new Consortium to employ and make available to industrial member Companies software based on the electromagnetic and thermal modeling computer-code of Motor Design Ltd.
